(Asian News International Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) London, Oct 10 (ANI): Google and Samsung have delayed the launch of their new product out of respect for Apple’s visionary founder Steve Jobs, who recently died after a long battle with cancer.

“Steve Jobs introduced numerous revolutionary changes to the information technology industry and was a great entrepreneur,” the Herald Sun quoted Samsung CEO Choi Gee-sung, as saying.

“His innovative spirit and remarkable accomplishments will forever be remembered by people around the world. Under the current circumstances, both parties have agreed that this is not the appropriate time for the announcement of a new product,” he added.

The new Android operating system, “Ice Cream Sandwich”, which was scheduled to be unveiled tomorrow at a tech event in San Diego, is rumoured to combine the best elements of past systems “Honeycomb” and “Gingerbread”.
