Google Bookmarks and Marketing

Posted on by in Marketing, Social Media

Google announced last night that it had added a new function to its bookmarking feature, and that was the ability to share your lists. This extension to their already existing bookmarking feature goes up against already established websites such as Stumbleupon and Delicious.

Users will be able to create lists of bookmarks, tag them, and share the content with their friends through their email. Users also have the option of posting the content publicly. The system already has built in suggestions for other websites you might like as you are building your list. We created a list of social bookmarking websites and found it very easy to use.

Google Bookmarks is another step in google enabling content sharing through its services, althought they have a long way to catch up with Facebook and Twitter, with Facebook making up about 30% of content shared through addthis.
